Footage shows the moment a suspected human trafficker jumped out of a moving car while being chased by police.

The suspect, who was filmed near the town of Morahalom in Hungary on Sunday, can be seen opening the car door before rolling out on to the road and getting to his feet.

The man then runs on to a field while being chased by an officer who arrested him shortly after.

Police have said the suspect was not injured in the “stunt”.

The car itself carried on for around 100 metres, with those in the passenger seats doing the steering, before it finally stopped, officers added.

Police said there were 12 Syrian people in the vehicle who were “later escorted back to the border fence”.

The footage was filmed from a Czech police car which had been patrolling with Hungarian officers.
