A woman who says she was hit by a microphone that Cardi B hurled into the crowd at a Las Vegas concert has filed a police report for battery, authorities said.

The US rapper was performing at Drai’s Beachclub on Saturday when a large drink was thrown on stage, footage posted on social media showed.

Cardi B – whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar – appeared shocked for a moment and then threw her microphone towards an audience member.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a woman reported a battery case to the force, a day after the concert.

In recent months, a number of high-profile artists have been hit by objects while performing.

In June, pop star Bebe Rexha shared pictures of her black eye after she was hit by a mobile phone.

Meanwhile, footage of a fan throwing their mother’s ashes at Pink in London quickly went viral.

Harry Styles has also been hit by flying objects at his gigs, including Skittles which hit him in the eye and led to the sweets brand making a public plea on social media.
