Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney once said it should be “illegal” for people to refer to her by the incorrect pronouns.
Mulvaney aired her grievances in a newly resurfaced TikTok video, titled “Adult Bullies”, in which she described the hate she has been subjected to ever since starting her online account.
In the October 2022 video, which is currently being shared on Twitter, the 26-year-old took aim at unidentified conservative journalists who have constantly referred to her as a “man” in their media coverage.
“Like, the articles written about me using he pronouns and calling me a man over and over again, I feel like that should be illegal. I don’t know, that’s just bad journalism,” Mulvaney said in the October 2022 video.
She insisted those articles were “even worse” than when people have falsely accused her of being a pedophile.
“I’m reminding myself that those people actually feel like they’re doing the Lord’s work,” Mulvaney said. “They believe that their bullying actually is the right thing to do, and I’m the one to blame when I’m just over here trying to live my best life.”
The resurfaced video emerged as Mulvaney returned to Instagram Thursday in the wake the mass outrage over her Bud Light partnership. The saga embroiling Anheuser-Busch erupted earlier this month when Mulvaney, who boasts more than 10 million followers on TikTok and Instagram, revealed she had a new sponsorship deal with the beer brand.
It quickly led to calls for a boycott of the nations largest beer company as conservatives claimed the partnership tarnished the iconic brand.

A lot has been said about me, she said in the clip on Thursday. Some of which is so far from my truth that I was hearing my name and I didnt know who they were talking about sometimes.
It was so loud that I didnt even feel part of the conversation so I decided to take the backseat.”
Mulvaney, who didnt mention Bud Light in the post, said she was “doing okay” — but was struggling to understand how people have tried to “dehumanize” her throughout the ordeal.
What Im struggling to understand is the need to dehumanize and to be cruel. Dehumanization has never fixed anything in history, she said.
