The United States will impose new coronavirus testing requirements on travelers from China. Beginning on January 5, passengers boarding U.S.-bound flights from China will be required to show proof of a recent negative COVID test. Officials in Italy imposed similar requirements Wednesday and urged the European Union to follow suit, after half of all passengers arriving on two flights from China tested positive for coronavirus.
