Before you say anything yes, Central Jersey exists. Even though many people dont believe in the region, there are so many reasons to love it. It is home to stunning county parks, charming downtowns, one of the best Ivy League schools in the country and a hub for some great eats.

Review juggernaut Yelp recently published their first-ever 100 best places to eat in New Jersey in 2022 list.

Heres the lists methodology: We identified businesses in the food and restaurants category on Yelp, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews between January 1st, 2022 and November 3rd, 2022.

Right across from The Lawrenceville School, youll find this adorable bakery where you can smell the delicious goods from the parking lot. Its no surprise to us that this beloved ice cream shop made the list as it was named as the best ice cream shop in New Jersey by numerous national publications and ranked No. 10 on our best ice cream list. This awesome ramen spot houses the bowl that ranked No. 3 on our greatest bowls of ramen list. The must-try bone marrow ramen was a 2018/2019 New York City Japan Festival Ramen contest champion.

This is one of the best spots to grab a bite of traditional Afghan food, according to some of their reviews on Yelp. Try their chicken kabob, filet mignon or their very popular lamb chops.View this post on Instagram

Its safe to say that Bombay River makes some pretty fantastic Indian food given that its the top Central Jersey best place to eat, according to Yelp. It is also located in endearing downtown Red Bank filled with local shops, other restaurants and bakeries. They offer dishes from their clay oven, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes but the most popular dishes include the chicken tikka masala, lamb korma and sag paneer, according to their page on Yelp.
